Pig Zodiac Kit - Pinn [as and when]
Projects in Queue
After 2 weeks of stitching... here's the progress on the Goddess of Mercy kit. Hmm not even 1/4 of a section completed yet (and there are like 6 sections in total). Lolx like I told my brother, this is gonna take me at least a year manx!

Finished stitching it sooner than I thought I would. Way before Father's Day this year. All thatz left now is to mount it onto a card & it'll be done!! Been stitching a little here & there on the Goddess of Mercy kit. Manx ~ this is gonna take forever!! Lolx, coz the no. of stitches don't increase much day after day... seems as if I'm making zlich progress. Hopefully I won't give up halfway though. Itz gonna be a beauty when itz done.

Preparation for 'Goddess of Mercy' complete - divided the chart into 4 parts and tacked a around the fabric as a guidline. Hmm... will be starting the first stitches soon enough ^-^ Am now preparing the floss shopping list for the 'Superdad' card & since I've got a voucher, might as well use it to stock up on floss for other projects that I will embark on in the future. *shrugx* I know itz gonna be quite sometime b4 I'll have the chance to work on those... but it doesn't hurt getting the threads first rite? Lolx ~ it might just serve as motivation to work those in queue more quickly. All well, will just let my mood lead me :P

Doneth!! Can finally remove the kitten kit from the task list. And yeah my opinion doesn't change. A better frame is needed for this. And now... since I've yet to get the floss for the Father's Day card, might as well do tacking for the Goddess of Mercy. Thatz like so way overdue. *grinx* Will give myself a year's allowance since itz such a huge one.

Woops!! Forgot to take a picture of "Bears In Love" and the Aquarius that I've done up. Hmm... ah well, I finally found a suitable frame for the former... did it up and itz now no longer in my posession. So guess no chance for a pic there!! Damn. And I thought it looked pretty good after itz been mounted & all. Lolx.
As for the Aquarius thingy, yeah I'll get it up once I take a pic of it... itz @ my parents place though -.-" Guess gotta wait till after the renovation and all. Perhaps after I find a new set of frames to fit the entire set. Can't replace the ones that have been smashed. Apparently they are outta stock & doubt itz gonna be replenished. So gotta find a new way to display it. Such a shame. Those frames were perfect. Maybe I'll just get a huge frame & mount them altogether instead of going thru' the pain to find another set of 12 with 4 different colors to reflect the elements.
*grinx* Am behind schedule as usual. Managed to finish one of the kittens in time for my mum's bday. Sadly the frame doesn't do the stitching much justice, but thatz the best I could find at that point of time. Will re-frame it when I find something better. My ideal one is either something darker or a plain natural-wooden frame. If I really can't find anything ~ then guess I'll just respray the current one when I've got the time (and mood). Am still working on the back stitch for the last one. Wasn't in the mood to do any stitching for the past 2 weeks due to external factors. Ah well ~ should complete it within these few dayz.
Afterwhich itz off to shopping for more supplies. Gotta put off the Goddess of Mercy & Partners in Crime once again. Father's Day is next, found the perfect design in Cross Stitcher, and I don't intend to leave things till the last minute again -.-"
Speaking of magazines. My subscription to both Q&E and Cross Stitcher expired this mth. Guess I'll just apply for a Kinokuniya card soon, and buy the mags off the shelves. I just hope I won't miss them. Gotta check on a weekly basis. Not too sure if I'll continue getting Q&E though. Might opt. for The World of Cross Stitching instead, or maybe Cross Stitch Crazy. *shrugx* It'll really depend on my monthly budget & the designs in the mags. Of coz ~ if I could afford it, I'll get them all... but there are simply too many. Not to mention, I will never finish stitching all the designs I wanna. Well maybe I should just think less & finish those kits I've got in my posession before placing any projects on queue. Wish I had more time.
Anyway ~ thatz my 1st attempt at combining papercraft with cross-stitch. It was pretty troublesome. All that cutting, pasting... and ironing on of the interface behind those shoes. But guess the end result is worth it. I liked how it looks... and hopefully the receipient of the card likes it just as much. Ah well... *grinx* Whatever?

Wooooaaahhhh, itz been a long time since I updated this. Haven't been doing that much stitching lately - due to a packed schedule & extreme game addiction. Anyway, finally found the perfect frame for "Bears In Love" =) Am still midway working on the kittens kit. Think thatz gonna be yet another overdue project. Can't find frames for those yet though *mumbles* And my mum's bday is this weekend. Guess she'll just have to settle for a belated pressie... coz I doubt I can complete it in time. To think I was feeling positive in the 1st place. Misjudged the difficulty of the chart.
Finally framed up Aquarius. Hmm... itz a shame though, that I can't put it up for display. Due to some dispute @ home, 2 of the frames were smashed - the Leo & Virgo ones. Thankfully the stitching was undamaged in either way. The only problem now is getting exactly the same frames as replacement. Checked Daiso at PS - no luck. My only hope now is Daiso at IMM... where I got them in the 1st place. If I can't find those 2... then I'll have to hunt for another set of 12 coz it'll look weird with just 2 different ones. *sigh* Itz a shame though. Those were the perfect set of frames that complement the stitching. In 4 different colors... representing the different elements. Darn the walls look empty now.
Anyway ~ I finally plucked up the courage to try something new. Did up one of the kits from Q&E Cross Stitch & Papercraft. Was meant to be a bday gift for a friend... but oops, once again I overshot the deadline. Just managed to glue it up a while earlier. Tried iron-on interfacing for the 1st time. Had to do it to prevent the aida frm fraying when I cut the pattern out. Had a slight mishap... with part of the interfacing melting onto the iron (damn should have ironed on the stitching in the 1st place & not the other way round) but the end result was pretty decent :P Then there's another card that I really should have done by now - another one of the free kits that came with Q&E.
Am having mixed feelings about Q&E though. I miss the larger designs... but every issue seems to come with a card kit that make good gift ideas!! Furthermore, there are other designs in the mag that will definitely help when I need to do something for anyone's bday... etc. Ah well ~ won't be continuing my subscription either way. Will probably just apply for the Kinokuniya card & obtain all the mags as they come out... coz subscription rates are way too high. The only reason y I subscribed the previous time is coz of the special offer.
Well... after all this, think I'll be starting work on the Goddess of Mercy kit b4 Partners in Crime. Have alredi gotten the chart photocopied in b&w. Now all thatz left is for me to do the tacking & figure out how to fit it onto the scroll frame then away stitching I go!!
Pics to be posted the nxt time ~ just got my digicam back on Sun.

Done! Finished up the Aquarius kit on Sunday nite. Now all that's left to do is place it in the frame. Come to think of it, have yet to frame the Pieces one as well. Phew ~ will probably do it later tonite when I get back. Then finally I'll have the entire set on display.
Before embarking on anything else, I'd better complete the Cross Stitcher kittens kit. Though itz really tempting to either start wrking on "Partners in Crime" or the "Goddess of Mercy" in sepia. But I guess those 2 gotta wait till I get the chart photocopied. Intention is to give the kittens to my mum for her bday nxt mth. Yeah itz still a long way to go... but this is taking longer than I initially thought it would. Didn't notice the amazing no. of french knots & backstitch -.-" Itz a double-picture... gotta go search for a double square frame soon. *sigh* The frames are always the main headache. No idea where I should go for them. Guess b4 I make a trip down to Ikea I should check out Art Friend this weekend. Darn. I need a frame for "Bears In Love" too. Another square.
Gah... I wish there's a Hobbycraft store in Singapore. Either that or I wish FrameCraft opens a branch here. Purchasing the frames over ebay or the Internet is kinda outta the question. The shipping will cost too much. Damn. I do envy those folks living in the UK. They seem to get all those kinda supplies pretty easily.

Been a while since I updated this... haven't been exactly stitching much for the past mth. Finally completed "Bears In Love", am now looking 4 a suitable frame for it. Lolx, yeah it was way past the deadline I set for myself. Guess I simply didn't have the time. Gotta stick to my deadlines for this mth though - finish up that Aquarius kit & then the kittens kit. *grinx* Yeah that was supposed to be a mother's day gift for mum... got a little confused about the exact date of Mother's Day though. Will probably give it to her for her bday instead - coz I doubt I'll have time to do a bigger design by the end of April.
Hmm... sometime this mth, am really gonna start on either "Partners In Crime" or the Goddess of Mercy kit. Itz been months (maybe even half a year) since my parents bought that Goddess of Mercy. Think they are looking forward to hanging it up... despite them telling me to 'take my time'. Considering that itz one really huge piece, think am gonna just get the chart photocopied in full, then cut it into 6-8 parts. Then I shall work on it part @ a time. Yeah that may be a little wasteful thread-wise but think it'll be easier on my brain. Lolx. Which means I gotta use spare floss and tack grids around the fabric too. Tons of counting & all to do. Ain't looking forward to that, but guess itz necessary. *shrugx* Intentions may change anyway... but at least I've got a rough idea whatz to be done.
Unfortunately, have lent my digicam to a friend who went to Taiwan for NS training. Wouldn't be able to post any pics of my works in the meantime. Gahhh... gave in to temptation the other day and bought Cross Stitch Collection - the one that features this really kewl Egyptian design. *mumbles* The floss chart is done in anchor, gotta find some online conversion tables coz most of my stuff all DMC (somehow I prefer DMC floss too). Hmm... wish I could just take a pic off the mag and post it here. Itz one really beautiful piece that will look darn great on any living room wall. And of coz, like all huge pieces... itz gonna take forever. Lolx
Need more discipline to sit down & stitch.
