Finally gotten off my lazy ass and uploaded the pics that were supposed to be there a long time ago. LoLx well haven't been doing much stitching since last weekend. Got a little lazy + schedule got pretty packed. Anyway, have gotten all the necessary floss & fabric for the oriental stork pattern - will be starting on it sometime soon *i hope*. Will have to get it done slightly b4 Nov 13, so I'll be able to "mount" it up ready for my dad's bday. Afterwhich I'll be starting on all those X'Mas cards. Gee... there goes my target to finish the entire horroscope series by the end of this year!! Well at least I finally found a game that I can play while stitching ^-^

*sigh* Delay delay... went to purchase the threads on Tues for the stork design and got home not really satisfied. Sagacity didn't carry the full stock - am now lacking of 4 colors, if I ain't wrong. Also, a further check on the chart's instructions when I got back home made me realise that... the pattern isn't supposed to be worked on white Aida. Itz supposed to be on 14ct. mint green aida! Guess the trip down to Spotlight is a must make after all. Gah!! And there I was, hoping to save some time. I might make the trip down on Sat b4 my part-time job - hopefully time allows *shakes head* If not, itz gonna be a detour on Sun & I probably won't get to stitch till Mon. Zzz... time is running out.

Taken down the floss list for the stork - gee, there's more than I expected!! Gonna cost me about $15 to get those that I don't alredi have. Will pop over to Sagacity @ bras brasah later, b4 I go for my part-time job. Hopefully they'll carry the entire range. Itz a hassle going down to Spotlight @ PS just to get threads -.-" Checked out the estimated finished size of the design at the same time, and yep, fabric bought on Sun is more than enuff. In fact, will have sufficient to work the flying eagle piece & a couple more X'Mas cards (due to time constraint, am gonna just make tiny cards for most).

Oops!! Seems like I did it AGAIN. Added another new kit to my UFO statsh after a supposedly browsing trip @ Golden Dragon yesterday noon -.-" Went with my parents this time, and dad was checking out all the stuff there... apparently he got uber tempted by the Goddess of Mercy [sepia] one, and bought it on the spot! Oh manx... frankly, I was supposed to pay for it myself & do it for him as a surprise. Jeez... at the same time, he paid for fabric that I bought too. Am feeling kinda guilty - letting him pay for the stuff ($54 for the kit, $4.50 for the fabric). Thankfully he didn't choose to purchase the 8 immortals kit instead... that would have cost twice the amount ($126) = higher guilt level!!

They have chosen. Dad selected the stork picture from Cross Stitcher 178 (as expected), and mum opted for the accompanying pic to my bro's bday pressie - a flying eagle frm Q&E 138. Soon it'll be time to go shopping for more supplies! Need floss and aida. Hmm... should have most of the threads for the flying eagle alredi though. Ack, am running low on funds!! Think I should start creating x'Mas cards for sale on ebay or yahoo auctions to 'contribute' to my stitching costs. Problem is - there's no guarantee that whatever that's listed will be sold -.-" ebay international has a wider market, BUT, comes with fees. Listing on just the local sites is f.o.c. but frankly, how many ppl will actually purchase those kinda stuff in Singapore? *shrugx*

Aargghhh... I've done it again! Itchy fingers went to browse thru' Yahoo! Auctions and am now itching to just purchase yet another kit for myself. Oh manx... I alredi have more than I can sew. *takes a deep breath* I believe all stitchers feel the same way - when they see something, it just looks gorgeous and they just have to have it. LoL but I shall resist it this time. Besides, I've made an 'offer' to my parents... that the nxt time they drop by my place, I'll let them take a look @ the magazines my dad actually subscribed for me, and I'll allow them to choose any design they like. I'll complete it for them. Take it as I'm repaying for the gift they gave me =)

Whew!! 2 magazines @ the same time!! Came home and found them waiting or me on tha table. Oct's issue of Q&E and CrossStitcher ^-^ Q&E was slightly "damaged" in the mail though (with some dented corners and all - thatz the problem with subscriptions) but Cross Stitcher came close to perfect!! More designs to add to my collection. Gee there's just so many beautiful pictures to do, but so little time!! Perhaps someday I'll try one of those country cottage designs too. Not too sure how they gonna fit into my home, but they are neat all the same. Plus I've always wanted to live in the country :P
