Progress is slower than I thought it would be - despite being absent from wrk the past fortnight. Simply been a little lazy to stitch as much as I should. But am still feeling optimistic, despite returning to work tomorrow. There's still another 3 wks to my deadline and the Chinese stork is looking good now. The backstitch is gonna be a killer though. Am hoping to finish up the leaves and flowers by the end of this week, and hopefully complete half of the 2nd stork. Then will proceed on the background & finally the border.
Am intending to submit a request for the cat afghan and hopefully sign up to be a Q&E diarist as well - for the nxt huge project am gonna embark on. But that will have to wait. After the stork & gemini, I still gotta rush out those X'Mas cards & work on the remaining 2 horroscope kits. Gee I just wish I had more determination to stitch.
Thatz it... no full screen gaming for this weekend!!

Been doing quite a nice amount of stitching lately - considering that I'm taking an unofficial break from work. The oriental stork is progressing fine... have gotten the head & the 'shape' of the 1st stork... though itz a challenge while working the grey & white threads, especially in the evenings and nights (which I normally do). LoL it seems that I do need a daylight bulb. Anyway, am doing some greens rite now, to add a little more color onto the piece. Hopefully I'll get it done in time for my dad's bday. Hmm am still unsure whether to frame it up or make it into a hanging. Framing does seem easier though. Might need a sewing machine to hem the sides if I want it to be a hanging. *thinks* Then again, judging frm the design it should looking better w/o a frame. What do u think?

Anyway itz weird using a scroll frame for the 1st time... but there are advantages. At least I no longer have to waste energy gripping onto the fabric :P Plus, it is possible to stitch with both hands - leaving my left hand at the top & leaving the right at the bottom of the frame. Gotta perfect that technique though... the threads tend to get tangled now and then - very oftenly I end up with 1 strand of floss longer than the other strand in the end. Hahah perhaps I just ain't a perfect stitcher!! This is probably the difference between one who has talent, and one who doesn't (aka me). Anyhow, I don't care. Am satisfied with how the finished projects look so far - guess thatz all that matters.

Speaking 'bout finished projects. Taurus completed and framed last nite. Was behind schedule for about a week. Ack!! 3 more to go b4 full completion. Gotta rush gotta rush!!
